Association for the Development of Education and Research with universities, research centers, and companies of Aquitaine. ADERA was created in 1967. It develops the relations between the Higher Education (Universities, Major Schools) and companies in the following domains: research, technology transfer, implementation of public devices of support for innovation and for R&D.
Created in 1924 to enable France to play a key role in the great oil and gas adventure, TotalEnergies has always been driven by an authentic pioneering spirit. It has discovered some of the most productive fields in the world. Its refineries have created increasingly sophisticated products and its extensive distribution network has rolled out an ever-expanding range of services.
ISIFoR, a Carnot institute since 2011, is a group of 11 public research laboratories, 820 FTEs including 420 PhD students and post-doctoral researchers, eight parent institutions, in a network among Anglet, Bordeaux, Pau and Toulouse, with a solid know-how base and multi-disciplinary competencies.
AVENIA is the only competitiveness cluster covering all industrial sectors in the subsoil, bringing together some 280 members (large groups, ETIs, SMEs, startups, self-employed workers, laboratories, training organizations, universities and engineering schools, federative structures and local authorities) with the aim of building sectors of excellence, in particular through support in setting up collaborative R&D projects. AVENIA is supported by the French government, the New Aquitaine Region, the Pau Metropolitan Area and the Pau Béarn Pyrénées Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
